Dear Mr Starmer

As an enthusiastic Zionist of the neo-liberal section, I doubt if you will take on board the teaching and the leadership example of the Jewish prophet, and some claim Son of God, Jesus Christ. The crucial witness of Paul of Tarsus in his letter to the Christians of Philippi 2:6-11 is contrary to your leadership style in banning from the Party anyone who has a different understanding of the principles and values of the Party. We have had further proscribing of certain interest groups and local councillors because their agendas did not suit the rules you have imposed on the Party in order to secure your position as a leader of a Westminster Party.  Most of these groups and members have worked hard for our Party and for social justice. What Jesus taught us through the New Testament is that leadership is based on sacrifice, humility and service. To be able to carry out what his example illustrated is the ability to care for what others are saying especially those who have given time, effort and funds. From your witch-hunt it shows  you are total deaf to these others and, contrary to the spirit of our Party, you aim to exclude  them. What this tells us and the public is:

That you are a career politician prepared to use mis-information against possible challengers who are more in-tune with the values of our Party.

That you cannot be trusted to implement the ideals of our Party. You have pointed out that due to the rises in cost of living, ordinary households will be worse off by £2600+. Who is to say you will improve the situation? Who is to say you will improve public services having ruled out public ownership? We will expect more privatisation of the NHS and of councils and their services, further de-regulation of education and its privatisation. As for electricity and gas, we can expect very cold winters if you became PM. After all, you favour neo-liberal Zionism against Democratic Socialism.

That your actions are similar to well known Machiavellian dictators deceased and still alive, but your defence of the government of Israel, defined by various organisations as an apartheid government, and your siding with the fascist government of Ukraine, makes me wonder how and why you applied for membership of our Party.  Even your defence of Israel claiming criticism of it is ant-Semitic is shallow. Current Zionism, with its ethnic cleansing of Islamic or  Christian Palestinians, has nothing in common with the religion of the Hebrews/Jews. This defence of yours , I see, is Islamophobic, anti-Christian and anti-Semitic (you have expelled Jews).

So the leadership of the Redeemer and your leadership are miles apart. I think voters will see through you, and against Sunak, you will lose the next election.

As a Christian, I do believe in redemption and so I would advise you, comradely, to seek spiritual counselling. I suggest Mount St. Bernard, a Cistercian abbey where they will help anyone irrespective of belief (guestmaster@mountsaintbernard.org) and will provide space to reflect. They also make jolly good beer. I myself will only vote for the local candidate depending on what s/he supports . If the candidate has your seal of approval, forget my vote.
