Yesterday Arthur told us some truths the MSM had been suppressing for 40 years. The scabbing of the pit deputies union, the truth about how the strike started. The BBC lies, etc. Incidentally, the BBC reported that Arthur didn’t even speak yesterday. Those not in Sheffield need to know that he spoke brilliantly.
According to the BBC:
“He attended, but did not address, the rally on Saturday.” This was the quote on the BBC written by, Tom Ingall and Rachel Russell. The BBC also said: “Former National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) leader Arthur Scargill was among about 400 people who marked the 40th anniversary of one of the most violent days of the miners’ strike.“
This shows an amazing lack of honesty and accuracy in their ability to count and to report. The details of speakers at the rally were freely available for weeks before the event on social media. If these BBC ” reporters had bothered to…well…report the event, then they would have seen Arthur waiting patiently behind the other speakers ready to deliver his speech. My guess is the two BBC “reporters either went to the pub before the march and missed the main speeches or, simply lied.
One of the facts that Arthur mentioned in his speech were how the BBC had stopped the footage of the original Orgreave being used in evidence against the police at the time. The BBC have fairly recently admitted some of the filming was edited to make it look like the striking miners had started the trouble at Orgreave.
Arthur also told us the story of how the TV station has sent Carol Thatcher (daughter of Margaret) to interview him. Typical bias. Thatcher’s first question to Arthur was ” what is it like to be the most hated man in Britain?” Arthur’s reply was
“I don’t know. My name is not Thatcher.”
Below are pictures of the man who wasn’t there giving a very clever speech. Also speaking was Gareth Pierce, John Dunne and many others.
