While Julian Assange still rots in prison awaiting his fate for revealing American war crimes, Israeli spy, Jonathan Pollard, is expected to be on a plane home to Israel at any time, a farewell gift from President Trump to his close friend the Israeli prime minister.
Pollard, a US citizen, was jailed for life in 1987 after he admitted handing thousands of classified documents to Israel.
He was allowed out on parole five years ago after serving 30 years. On Friday the US justice department announced his parole would not be renewed and he was now free to leave the country.
Pollard’s lawyer, Eliot Lauer, suggested his client would soon depart for Israel.
