UK lets down Dr trying to get back to safety
With other countries busy evacuating as many people as possible in a true humanitarian way the UK is yet again showing a total lack of regard to humanity – how much longer do we have to put up with this disfunctional government.
The UK has a long history in the Sudan area, having been an extended part of colonial influence during the height of the British Empire; the Sudan itself featuring in the Holywood movie Khartoom.
This of course is not a reason why we owe any charity to the people of the area but – if we can acknowledge that the British Empire had any ongoing influence – it would be that we are willing to work together with fellow nations we once had close ties with.
Instead we seem to be ailenating as many people as possible with ridiculious policies.
