Liverpool City Council may be taken to the High Court by its own constituents…yet again…this time for not cancelling the AOC Liverpool 2021 ‘Death Fair’, to be staged by a 100% Council owned company in the 100% Council owned ACC Exhibition Centre near the John Lennon Peace Memorial by the M&S Arena. Tony Reeves was appointed to the position of Liverpool City Council’s Chief Executive Officer, on the 13th July 2018 and now receives a salary of £224,400 per annum. Tony Reeves’s highly questionable ‘advice’, misrepresented as being @legal advice” has led to the Mayor being told: Attempts to avoid responsibility for Arms Fair going ahead are ‘improper and unlawful delegation of powers’, by the Public Interest Law Centre. If this issue goes to the High Court, could this be third time ‘unlucky’ for two time loser, Tony Reeves, the man who’s in charge of, and is responsible for, Liverpool City Council’s legal team? Since his appointment in 2018, he’s lost at least two High Court judgements brought by Liverpool Constituents. In 2019 he lost a High Court action over Calderstones Park and in 2021 he lost one against Liverpool’s former Mayor. And with current outrage surrounding the staging of a ‘Death Fair’, ask yourself, How much shame does one person have to bring to our Great, Peace Loving City before they are sacked or apologise and resign?
