On the 12th of August Freeview were told by the Government that they had to retune the system in the Northwest of England to free up space for new mobile phone bandwidths. This had already been done over most of the country. The result was chaos. People left with very few or no channels at all.
The official establishment line was to blame ordinary people for the incompetence of the corporate sector. If you could not receive TV channels it was somehow your fault. “You need to retune your television” was the mantra handed down to the people. The Gods had spoken.
The BBC said the following:
Freeview viewers are complaining that they lost channels after planned changes were made to the network.
The company, which runs free digital television in the UK, warned users in advance that they might need to retune their systems today after transmitters were updated.
However, many customers say their channels have not been fully restored, despite retuning their televisions.
Freeview said anybody experiencing issues should call its advice line.
Why is there disruption?
The changes come after a decision by the government to reallocate some of the airwaves used by Freeview. Those will be used to develop new mobile broadband services in the future.
The decision means transmitters across the UK are being updated throughout 2020.
This week’s changes are happening in north-west England, north-east Wales and Creetown in Scotland, affecting about three million homes.
Freeview then, conveniently, started blaming it on the weather. THE WORD has a different explanation.
The whole Freeview process is part of the digitisation of our lives. They want ALL our information. Try an experiment for yourselves. Ring the Freeview helpline number 0345 650 5050. There will be a recorded message before you get through telling you that they DO share personal information with their PARTNERS and other third parties. Once you are through you will find the customer service assistant will tell you that they NEED all information from you such as phone number, name, address ETC. They will tell you that without this they cannot help you.
Why is this sinister? At the moment television companies, the Government or other outside agencies do not know what you are watching. With the move to the new digital age they will. If you watch television through your computer or mobile phone then the powers that be will know what you watch, when you watch it and how long for. Television sets as such are ceasing to exist as anything more than computer monitors.
The great switch off has started. Welcome to the new world of “SMART” everything.
You have probably been blitzed with messages from gas and electric companies telling you they are coming round to install a “SMART METER” at your home. No thought of “please can we?” or “Would it be alright to?” They make it sound like its already a done deal. Once installed these meters can tell the people who run them the following:
When you turn a light on. (the power surge is measured and recorded so they will know which room this is in.) The same goes for turning on power to boil a kettle, have a shower, turning on a computer…ETC.
Put this together with the enormous amounts of information that are held on you by Google, Facebook, Twitter and other corporate USA giants and the nightmare begins. The “pandemic” has very much helped with the process. Political meetings are now on zoom so can be recorded and stored along with your phone calls in Government databases. You use public transport and because of the no change policy pay on your card or by phone. That is already digitised. Everywhere you go there are cctv cameras watching you.
The places we used to go to mingle, meet and exchange ideas are taken from us one by one. Football grounds are now all seating, local pubs are being made financially unworkable and shutting in droves, now we cannot go out, visit friend…or do anything that CANNOT be digitised, recorded and stored.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, Yes, that is the mans full real name, has told us he will give some of our freedoms back… Think on that for a while… Who is he to take them away?
The Freeview call centre member of staff told me that they were not informed what was going on. They were just told to repeat the bit about retuning your set and to gather information. We ordinary people are too far down the food chain to matter and slipping down more by the day.

Is there any aspect of your lives that Governments and big business are not able to control, digitise, record and use against you? If you can find some then write down what they are.
