Alan McCormick the new GB News chairman has a long history of tweeting and promoting articles with climate change sceptic views, creating concerns about the channel’s push as a rolemodel for advocates of support for oil companies and the continued burning of fossil fuels.
Mr McCormick also a co-founder of a Dubai based investment firm (Legatum Group) which is one of the channels key funders that also promotes interests friendly to oil corporations, but questions are now being raised as to his support of articles claming there is “no scientific proof” that humans are a major cause of the climate emergency.
This all explains the pro corporation news spin given by GB News as a whole where regular guests apear on the show to cast doubt on climate science and oppose green friendly policies.
