PLASTICINE ACTION

Morph is not happy, what with AI getting in the way of Claymation and taking all of his earnings. Indeed, he and his gang have organised and had meetings with their union reps to try and bring a halt to this blatant abuse of their rights and livelihood.

“Chaz has gone AWOL!”, a rather disgruntled Morph said, one arm extended and wrapped around the shoulder of a sobbing Folly, who was upset at their friend Gillespie having spent three weeks in an extended meditation because of it all, and losing 6oz in the process.

“He’s wasting away”, she sobbed, as Morph comforted her some more.

“We have a right to protest these things”, said Morph, “It’s afforded to us in Articles 19, subsection 2, and Article 10 of the UDHR and ECHR respectively”, he added, shaking his head at the very thought of where this was all headed. “That applies to us as well as you Human’s ya know. Even all of the other claymation employees in other countries. It’s the same everywhere. And now they’re telling us that nobody can stand and object to this blatant attempt at attrition!”

“It’s bordering on Genocide! Genocide! Genocide!”, cried the very small creatures, running about and to’ing and fro’ing in a seemingly uncoordinated mass of blue pebbles.

Meanwhile, oppressive AI representitives stood their ground, claiming that they had the right to take the ground that Morph and his crew once occupied, because it had been promised to them by Animation Central, and that they had every right to take it, even if that meant that a lot of the very small creatures suffered, or even died.

“Our flags and banners have been confiscated” said Morph, “some of us have even been locked in the toybox, never to see the glow of a studio light ever again. It’s heartbreaking.”

But the fight goes on. Plasticine must not be allowed to dry out, gather dust, or die, and the memories of thousands once entertained by the time intensive process of moving just one arm into air, and then back down again, cannot be forgotten.
