Just seeing smarmy Blair make his grinning excuse for flying in from the UK just to join a jolly with Murdoch on his millionaire’s yacht makes any viewer instantly queasy.

Only John Major had the ba…ckbone to stand up to the media mogul who was helped to power by Mad Maggie.
Murdoch told the dull as ditch water Prime Minister straight out that if he did not change the law as Murdoch wanted it change his papers would not back the Tories at the next election and would support Blair.
To Major’s eternal credit he told Murdoch to get lost, something Blair would never dream of doing in a month of Sundays.
To everyone’s astonishment at the next general election, Murdoch’s papers came out in support of Blair, even though he claimed he led the Labour Party.
Do yourself a favour and catch the first episode on the Beeb’s online watch again iPlayer service (you have to register) to be ready for the next episode which is described as: “An alliance forms, including Hugh Grant, that is willing to take on the Murdoch empire. A scandal threatens Rupert’s dream of passing on the family business to one of his children.”
