Could this be the most expensive sick note on the planet today?.. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson announce they tested positive for Coronavirus, making them the first celebrities to go public with a diagnosis, Tom being mid shooting a movie might make the film a little more difficult to shoot.
The married couple was in Australia for production of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley movie, in which Hanks is playing Presley’s iconic manager Colonel Tom Parker. Hanks and Wilson, both 63, revealed the news with a statement on Wednesday.
“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive. “
