Vouge fashion magazine shows its political colours by erasing any mention of Palestine from its coverage of Gigi Hadid. You can see more information here where you can also follow Ahmed on Instagram.
Gross Double Standards
Where Journalist Ahmed Eldin berates Vouge for a shocking case of double standards. Ahmed further mentions:
Today the mainstream media and governments the world over are glorifying the Ukrainian people using Molotov cocktails to resist Russian occupation and invasion.
For decades Palestinians, who have endured an occupation, ethnic-cleansing, annexation, and other war crimes under an oppressive system of Apartheid, have predominantly used rocks and molotov cocktails to resist, and have always been labeled terrorists, often murdered and demonized by the mainstream media.
Even worse, Israel continues to justify murdering Palestinian children who use Molotovs to resist as they did this week when they murdered two Palestinian children for allegedly using molotov cocktails to resist occupation.
In repeated wars, Israel has bombed civilian infrastructure, including Gaza’s power plant, hospitals, universities and schools. Where were all the international calls for a no-fly zone or a safe corridor?
Why Is Palestine Ignored?
For 15 years, two million Palestinians in Gaza have been collectively punished by the Israeli-Egyptian blockade. Collective punishment is a war crime. Though it is true that Hamas & other groups launch rockets at civilian targets inside Israel—also war crimes—the international community isolates Hamas while embracing Israel.
The biggest disparity is how the West has already held Russia accountable for its crimes in Ukraine, in contrast to Israel’s in Palestine this week and every week since 1948.
The Ukraine war is just over a week old, and already a mass of extremely tough sanctions have been levied on Russia.

Global companies such as BP, Pepsi and Ikea are divesting. Russia is being expelled from a host of sporting and cultural events, from the World Cup to the Eurovision Song Contest. The International Cat Federation has even banned Russian cats from competitions.
This brilliant drawing by @omarsommad speaks a million words about what so many us feel in our angry hearts.
