Rubbish bins fell over and cupboard doors swung open as a 3.3 earthquake was felt across three counties at 8.45am on Tuesday.
Residents in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire all reported feeling the quake when it hit at 8.45am. Residents in Milton Keynes reported feeling the tremor.
The epicentre was in Leighton Buzzard, Beds, and had a “depth” of six miles, according to the British Geological Survey.
