Missed among the hullabaloo surrounding the Meghan/Harry revelation of open racism within the Royals “Firm” as they call it, is his explanation of who did not make the remark about his son’s expected skin colour.
In their interview with American queen of the chat shows, Oprah Winfrey, Harry made a point of saying that the shockingly offensive comment was NOT made by the Queen, which no one would ever have thought, NOR the far more likely suspect, her foot-in-mouth husband Prince Philip.
The point of all this is that it’s not who he cleared of blame but who he did not mention that strikes a bell.
He did not say it was no-one in the family, and he did not say it was not a flunky, high or low, so that seems to suggest it is someone in the family!
Likely suspects have to start with his daft dad Charles, though such a crass and clearly racist comment does not appear to fit with his known character and rumours.
But if you ever watched the much missed Harry Enfield satire The Windsors, his Charles can show a nasty case of the petulance, but the series’ top villain without a doubt was the conniving, evil, murderous even Camila, but that was a comedy.
Bro William and his wife Kate Middleton give the impression of being a right-on couple with PC priorities to the fore, even though Hollywood princess Meghan Markle has accused her sister-in-law of making her cry.
So that leaves Andy and Anne, oh yes there’s Edward and public relations wife – forget them – as only ones left that count.
Surely has more than enough on his pizza plate with mounting accusations of sexual misbehaviour, which now seem to include being a child (teenage surely) abuser because of his favourite New York hotel was the posh home of pimp and all-round sleaze Jeffrey Epstein.
Possibly part of the attraction was Epstein and his brothel-keeping girl friend Ghislaine Maxwell provided high class teenage prostitutes, or at least very young girls of extremely easy virtue, who were told to keep the prince entertained.
That leaves Anne, the Royal offspring who is most like her dad at least for in her early days for making crass, unfeeling, off-the-cuff remarks along with a devil take the hindmost attitude.
So, if you are thinking of putting some money on who the culprit will eventually be revealed to be, Anne’s your man, unless you think differently?
