The People’s Assembly have called a Nationwide day of Action Saturday 17th October from 11am
In towns and cities up and down the Country. Local People’s Assembly groups will host coordinated actions ranging from Protests, Rallies, Marches and Street meetings to protest the continuing mishandling of the Covid Crisis by this Government.
All events will be organised in a Covid safe way. Full details will be given along with each event and of course all events will be under constant review to see whether the situation changes.
(Political Protest is exempt from the 6 person rule as long as risk is assessed, social distancing is observed and people wear masks.)
We have been left paying the price for the incompetence, lies and manipulation of the Tories.
Throughout the country we will be highlighting:
The disastrous track, trace and test operation
The vast amounts of public money going into private companies like SERCO that are catastrophically failing us.
The millions of people who will lose their jobs
Furlough ending too soon
Poor school safety
Vulnerable staff being sent back to the workplace
Lifting of the Eviction Ban
The infringement of our rights
Confused and inadequate Covid messaging
Putting profit before people

REVOLUTION 2020
Revolution 2020 is a three-day festival of Marxist ideas, hosted online and across Britain by Socialist Appeal on 23-25 October, with 20 sessions covering current events, history, philosophy, and economics. See below for a sample of the incredible sessions on offer over the whole weekend.
The theme of this year’s event is A World on Fire. From the global COVID-19 pandemic, to the climate catastrophe, to the mass movements against racism and oppression: it is clear that the system is broken. The old world is dying; and a new society is struggling to be born.
Tickets are now on sale from between £5 to £40.
