So the American Empire’s rabid dogs seek to destroy the beautiful game. They want to change it into a compulsory elite system without relegation or promotion. This self-serving bunch of super rich owners know nothing about football. They think a “world series” is always between USA teams in any sport. They worship money rather than passion. We, the supporters, can stop this. Football clubs can stop this. The premier league can stop this. Bojo the clown’s Tory Government can stop this. All we need to do is show solidarity. This could halt Thatcherite greed in its tracks. If we stop this “soccerball” elitism then we could make it a template for halting the destruction of the NHS. This needs to be a rallying point to bring the working class of Europe together. So, it’s literally, United we stand.
I would also like to add to the above “they shall not pass” but, as a Southend United supporter, that has been our problem all season…as well as shooting, tackling, running…etc. The team I have supported all my life are about to be relegated. That’s ok. We will be back. We will have more days in the sunshine. This season we give up our place in the football pyramid with sadness. At the same time we recognise the joy from supporters of our replacements. If this propose nefarious sports experiment is enacted it will bring a halt to any notion of hoping for something better. The American billionaire’s club theft of fairness will go on to create a sort of Feudal revival.
In all primitive societies throughout the ages there has been a block on merit rising to top positions. That is what the so called “public school” system is all about. This is what the House of Lords and the Monarchy are about. In the middle ages there was even the “Sumptuary laws” which stopped people wearing clothes that were thought to be above their social station.
So, the 6 breakaway English clubs think themselves more important than the other? Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham have all made an arbitrary decision that they are the elite. On results, ground capacity, league position? No, simply on the back of greedy owners.
The solution is simple: Ban any of their players from international duty. Take away their license to admit spectators. And then relegate them all to Division 2 when they come crawling back. This will generate money where it is most needed. Solidarity will win.
