Today in Manchester, just like other cities around the country, people came out from lots of different groups and also individuals, to demonstrate about the massive increases in fuel bills due to come in for everyone. People spoke of how it would be impossible to survive, giving an example of one family being told that their monthly fuel bill would be increasing from about £300 to about £700 per month.
There were various speakers giving their take and also telling us some of the horrible things coming in along with the fuel increases. One speaker from a group called ‘toothless’ spoke of how the government had changed the NHS dentists’ contracts so now a lot of these dentists’ could no longer afford to stay as NHS dentists.
