Boris Johnson and a host of senior government figures are in the firing line after police announced they are handing out 20 Partygate fines.
The MET has announced it is issuing the first tranche of fixed penalty notices to people who attended what has been dubbed “Partygate”.
But Downing Street is repeatedly dodging questions when asked if it is now a fact that the law was broken.
Huge concerns are echoed regarding why the MET refused to investigate this until pressured to do so by journalists investigating events, despite the fact that police would have known about the events going on as they have officers within Downing Street.
This is just turning into another “MET corruption” example and a further degradation of trust in the police – how can they be trusted to be telling the truth in any situation when they bend the rules to suite themselves?
