The belief all pensioners are better off than working age people, is incorrect, or else the high street shops would not have been closing at a fast pace, for decades, being as it is Grey Vote who go to shops. Lockdown is not the beginning of high street shutdowns. Retail analysists have known that for years.
Most women, especially, do not get full state pension, due inequalities in the workplace and in the pension system.
ASSUMPTION OF CONTINUING LIFE FROM 50 TO 70 ENDED IN 2011
Life expectancy and pensioners increasing in number, is a lie.
We are not.
- We are already dead aged in 50s and 60s,
- dying quicker in retirement,
- elderly pensioner deaths increasing,
- long before 2020/21 airborne plague.
Back in 2005, the government’s actuaries informed Blair that pension age rise would result in a high increase of people long dead before retirement.
As foretold, the 2011 pension age rise brought about the highest early death rate for half a century, of us 1950s born women, aged in our 50s and 60s.
We also suffered loss of Pension Credit (as did men) benefit, from age 60 (Welfare Reform act 2012) til 66, now 67, that would have saved the lives of the poorest 1950s born ladies and gents.
Becoming the newest I Daniel Blakes, by losing poorest’s over 60s’ income support, with least chance of a new job, by age alone.
