Centre right Labour MP, Stephen Kinnock, son of anti-socialist leader Neil, has one saving grace, he is willing to call out bullying Israel for stealing Palestinian land and abusing its citizens.
Kinnock, junior, is sufficiently right wing to be included in Starmer’s shadow front bench as second fiddle to shadow foreign secretary dim ‘headgirl’ Lisa Nandy.
As the Word reported in September, during a debate he had initiated about Palestine and the West Bank, Kinnock accused Israel of behaviour “tantamount to profiting from the proceeds of crime.”
He called on the UK to “ban all products that originate from Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.”
Nandy this month told the (Tory supporting) Board of Deputies, that Kinnock’s outburst did not go down well with the boss.
An “infuriated” Starmer called in young Kinnock and gave him a dressing down, Nandy revealed, last week..
The Jewish News claimed that Nandy confirmed there was anger at the very top of party about Kinnock’s comments.
Last Sunday it was reported that a Palestinian teenager ahd died from injuries after being beaten up by Israeli troops.
The Palestinian health ministry said that Amer Abedalrahim Snobar, 18, arrived at hospital after being “severely beaten on the neck” with butts from rifles.
An Israeli spokesman said Amer fell while running away and hit his head. He was not beaten up by troops.
